About Shia Journey

Shia Journey is a comprehensive offline Islamic companion app built specifically for the Shia Muslim community. It brings together authentic sources of knowledge and daily practice in one place, with the mobile app designed to keep core reading available without an internet connection.

The mobile app is the primary home for the full experience: Holy Quran with English, Urdu and Farsi translations, transliteration and Shia tafsir; duas and ziyarat with Arabic text, translation and audio; hadith collections including Al-Kafi and Nahj al-Balagha; Sahifa Sajjadiyya; prayer times; Qibla tools; Islamic calendar; amaal; widgets; reminders; bookmarks; favorites; reading settings; and continue-reading state.

Because those features depend on device permissions, local storage, background reminders, audio behavior and platform-specific UI, the Flutter app remains the source of truth for app-like behavior.

This website provides public browser access to the library content. It does not maintain a separate website database. Quran, duas, hadith, Sahifa, amaal, calendar and related pages are exported from the Flutter app data into static JSON for web publishing.

That approach keeps the public pages fast and easy to browse while avoiding a second implementation of the mobile app's deeper reader behavior.

Shia Journey is completely free of cost: no subscriptions, no ads, and no hidden charges. The public website also does not require an account to browse library pages.
